Mac client that will display two channels simultaneously?

I’m trying to organize a group thing on IRC, and I need a good, free
client option for Mac users that will display two channels
simultaneously, tiled either vertically or side-by-side rather than
tabbed (floating layout?).

(I have a web client and Windows/Linux options, but I’m looking to
cover a variety of user types, and cannot find a good option for Mac
yet.)

You could probably just use irssi in a unix terminal and us /window
show # to split screen from chat channels

Thanks for the advice! Unfortunately, most of the users participating
in this are not very skilled with technology, so would require a
client with a gui. :)

I hear you. I have limited experience with Mac, but when I did use it,
there weren't viable GUI options I could find.

You could run VMWare and then run Windows or Linux in it and then have
many more Irc GUI options.

Best of luck, and maybe someone has a better option for you.
