Is there some sort of news channel, where news headlines and / or
links are posted? Something like r/worldnews here at reddit?

Thank you :)

\#\#news on libera.chat

It pulls from multiple sources.

Oh, it's double hash, nice :)) I was trying `#news`, and found just
silence :)

Thanks!

Yeah on that network, double hash is for channels not tied with a
recognized/official technical project. They're for informal channels.

indeed, it was always puzzling me, why it's `##` sometimes... Thanks
again! :)

Thanks! But which port do you use? I couldn't connect when trying with
some standard ports...

EDIT: Seems like they've moved to irc.rizon.net

Hi - Rizon is just a backup channel - our main service is on
FinancialChat:

ports: 6667-6669,7000 on servers:
[irc.financialchat.com](https://irc.financialchat.com) or
montreal.qc.ca.financialchat.com

Yes, good channel, but surya is a terrible user same with dw1. I
really would like it if Rue would be promoted to opper already.
