My IRC archive. 20+ year old files. Some extremely hard to locate scripts within. Adding more all the time. Please message me if you have anything to contribute. reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2022-09-02 03:04 [deleted] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SadieCat69 · 2022-09-02 08:58 Cool idea! I'll figure it out and throw it up there. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- OldDirector · 2022-09-02 14:25 I'm certainly gonna add those. Thanks for the direction! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- _c0rle0ne_ · 2022-09-02 14:33 Gold post. +1 from me. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- OldDirector · 2022-09-02 14:42 Helped a person last night before I posted successfully find a copy of oxide script! Maybe I can help someone else. Send in whatever scripts or IRC related software you might have. Unlike the some of the old timers Im not hoarding, I'm sharing! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- bdangerous · 2022-09-02 15:29 Do you have mIRCd? If not, I’m gonna have to search my desktop and see if I still have it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- OldDirector · 2022-09-02 16:08 I believe I do in there somewhere. But that's ok! You may have a different version than me. I can still take it and put it up if it's different. Edit: I have this. Not sure if it's the same. https://aboveus.net/archives/mIRC/mIRC%20addons/IrcServer.zip ---------------------------------------------------------------------- zeamp · 2022-09-02 21:38 *who dis?* ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rubinlinux · 2022-09-02 21:51 You have nefarious but not x3 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- OldDirector · 2022-09-02 22:38 Pardon? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- zeamp · 2022-09-02 22:44 IRC handle, primary network and channels, who are you Mr Archive? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- OldDirector · 2022-09-02 22:53 Someone digging through archive.org, downloading stuff, and then uploading it to share. They are not being changed in any way, nor are they being scanned. I assume all people downloading and using these files are savvy enough to vet their software. Used to go by Google on the FrostWire network when it was a thing. Now I just cruise around in libera and other networks trying to find old shit to save. Maybe back up on the paranoid hostility. I'm a fucking autist with a hyperfixation on looking for old files and sharing them, no nefarious intent here. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2022-09-02 23:13 [deleted] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- KindOne · 2022-09-02 23:42 mSLDev has a lot more versions: http://www.msldev.com/download/ Private prerelease versions I tested: https://www.dropbox.com/s/scgry11d3ea5zfk/mSLDev_prerelease_versions.7 z?dl=0 Program is 100% abandonware. ----- All 178 public mIRC betas from 7.43.1418 - 7.69.412 (396MB compressed 7zip archive) https://www.dropbox.com/s/jyq31auv9rqgxgy/mirc-public-betas.7z?dl=0 They get posted here: https://forums.mirc.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/225704/mirc-beta ----- mUTraZ - I forget what this is. If I find any more older InspIRCd stuff on one of our web servers I'll give you a shout. If you find any mIRC scripts credited to "TheGeekLord" (the handle I picked when I was 13 lmao) -- especially older versions of iRCTunes for mIRC -- I'd be interested in having a copy of them them as I had a hard drive failure in about 2013 and all of the sites I uploaded them to are no longer available. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- systemerror2 · 2022-09-10 01:50 [archive.org](https://archive.org) doesn't have many scripts archived. many of them got the website archived partially (missing a lot of content). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- OldDirector · 2022-09-10 11:47 Wrong. I downloaded over 200 last night. You're just not doing it right. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- OldDirector · 2022-09-10 11:50 I downloaded over 200 last night. Almost everything I'm getting is from archive.org. If you're not getting much. You might not know the little tricks. get more familiar with the site then dive in again. You have to use the wayback machine. Not the actual software archives. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- systemerror2 · 2022-09-10 13:23 Why do you assume i am wrong? if i said it's because i searched enough. One thing is find small scripts around (aliases, addons, etc)...these are relatively easier to find. Another thing is find some very old full scripts around. Many of them are basically extinct. [Archive.org](https://Archive.org) didn't archive everything. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- OldDirector · 2022-09-10 13:32 Full Scripts, Addons, Bots, images, .mrc files, tar.gz's, bitchx scripts, mIRC themes, IRCds, mIRC related programs such as mirclaunch.exeb(among others), tutorials, Etc. It's actually over 2000 files, but I was being conservative. I assume you're wrong because I've collected over 22gb of IRC related files in the last two weeks using my method. Some scripts that haven't seen the light of day since 2003 or earlier, which I have provided in the open directory above. I'm still adding files too. I'm in the middle of changing hosts right now, so not all what I have is currently up but it's up to like a week ago. Also my original reply to your comment wasn't meant to be a simple one line "you're wrong *sneer*" type thing. I posted it then attempted to edit it to explain better but the edit didn't take. There are a bunch of nuanced little tricks to using archive.org. you can't use the software archives, you have to use the wayback machine. Get a list of IRC related sites, get their root directory, search that on archive.org, go to the URL tab. Sort by MIME type. And you'll get tons of files. Even the old sites like mIRC.net that used a cgi or php download system were archived. So while it wasn't "everything" it was a good amount more than anyone thought or anyone else found. There are also like 7 other archive.org clones in other languages that Ive been perusing also. I've been following a trail of old WebRings to success so far. Didn't mean to sound like a dick. I totally did. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- systemerror2 · 2022-09-10 22:25 I know (and i use) the waybackmachine since it was still a new project, dude. Stop assuming things just because you are happy finding and downloading a million of random things (my mission isn't the same and i never said to be). I already spent time there enough trying to find some old stuff i know (a few of these stuff is relatively obscure indeed, and not something uploaded to many scripting databases running in that ages) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2022-09-11 00:11 [deleted]
