I made a Telegram bot that links to InspIRCd networks and allows telegram users to appear as native IRC users. reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SadieCat69 · 2022-08-12 12:05 Ah, you got it working! :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- atblakely · 2022-08-12 12:10 I did! Thanks for the help! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2022-08-12 12:51 [deleted] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- skizzerz1 · 2022-08-12 19:50 Looks like it has no filtering of malicious input. Nick lengths aren’t enforced, protocol limits aren’t enforced, someone could embed newlines in tg messages and inject commands, RAW is a misfeature and should never be enabled. Interesting start but not suitable for production use ---------------------------------------------------------------------- atblakely · 2022-08-12 21:54 I haven't claimed it to be ready for production usage. It will be when I make its first release was just sharing what I had so far. I've thought about input sanitation but hadn't gotten to it there's other things I've been focusing on but thanks for reminding me lol I havent tried to break it yet. Edit: I've fixed all of these concerns ---------------------------------------------------------------------- atblakely · 2022-08-12 22:23 Note: this software is in alpha stages and not considered ready for production use. If you want to play with it use it in a sandbox like I have or wait until I make a release
