i recently registered a nick and verified it but when my friend trying
to send me direct message it says " no such nick/channel" but i can
login to that nick without any error.

Anyone knows about what happening??

Are you on IRC when your friend tries to message you? Your nick
doesn't stay around when you leave the server. It's only reserved so
that you get it back when you reconnect.

By default no. When you are not connected, you cannot receive
messages.

A Bouncer (bnc) is a program that stays connected in your place and
can show you what happened in the meantime. There are also hosted
clients that stay online always, like irccloud.com (paid feature).

This would depend on the IRC network you're using.

Depends on the server. Does it have memoserv?

You can use something called a cloak, which your IRC server might
offer. Libera.chat has cloaks. They aren't foolproof for hiding your
IP, which if you really care about you should be using a VPS or
something.
