Help, I need general info... reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SnNook · 2022-03-28 18:54 Help, I am new to this. I am looking for a way to find an IRC chat. What I have no idea is which client to install and which channel to join (Spanish). Can someone recommend me one of the two things? Thanks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- AltReality · 2022-03-28 21:05 I assume you are on Windows? mIRC is a great IRC client, but it does cost a bit (I think $15.00)... Hexchat is good and it is free. Some networks have web-based clients that you can sign into without installing anything. As for Spanish speaking channels you'll have to check a few servers and list channels. There are no language flags that you could use to limit your search, as any language could be "spoken" in any channel at any time. I would recommend listing all channels with more than say 10-15 people in them. - Some networks a full /list can kick you off the server as your flood protection might kick in...so just be aware if you get dropped you can rejoin. both mIRC and Hexchat come with a ton of servers listed in the default servers list, but there are others out there. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Morphie-peer · 2022-03-29 16:25 I have a client called Morphie - Chat Rooms on apple and google play. It uses theLounge and is free ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SnNook · 2022-03-31 16:52 Thank you very much! Sorry for taking so long to respond, I appreciate your help. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SnNook · 2022-03-31 16:53 Thanks bro, I will try it! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Honest-Deer · 2022-04-03 11:11 Hey 👋, I went back to irc few months ago and I was looking for channels, servers and IRC clients. I use hexchat that it's free. (There is others that are also free, this is just a matter of personal preference) For irc channels and servers you can look here https://netsplit.de/ Hope you enjoy
