The website (which I am not linking, because maybe don't look at it
without uBlock Origin or similar) is just a mass of spam links; even
the ludicrous rants are gone. IDK about you but if I took over a huge
IRC network I'd want to actually do something with it.

For those who lived under a rock: the Freenode community is not
actually dead, it moved to [libera.chat](https://libera.chat/) after
Freenode got taken over by a madman.

The website then posted a series of tirades which in my view were
increasingly unhinged (near the end freenode was proclaimed to be part
of the (defunct) Korean Joseon Empire) and now it's, as mentioned,
just a load of spam links.

I guess you don't use reddit much; "bumping" doesn't do anything here,
as opposed to on Web forums where bumping a seven-year-old thread
about Emacs would annoy people.

Ah, I misread your tone.  Duly noted.  (I didn't actually think it
would have the bump effect, just a habit from my years of being
annoying on Web forums.)
