ive been wanting to set an IRC bot for my channels and people i follow
instead of having 10 tabs open at a time, but i cant find anywhere on
twitch TOS about IRC bots and if it is allowed or not


does anyone know if IRC bots are ToS safe for twitch please ?

a "IRC Twitch bot" would be judged the same way as a non irc "Twitch
bot"

read the Twitch bot guidelines and determine if your twitch bot
conforms

im asking because twitch TOS was not clear.. i know ITC and twitch IRC
are the same thing.. that is not what im asking.


is IRC allowed to be used on twitch ? yes /no

half the bots you see on Twitch are IRC bots

they work through IRC

ALL twitch bots are irc bots.

They literally have a official guide on how to make an IRC bot for
twitch, so YES, twitch does allow IRC, and I'm sure the reason you
probably couldn't find it is because it just understood that they
allow it.

Well it really doesn't matter because Twitch will just ban anyone for
existing.
