Can’t connect to Undernet on Hexchat?

As the title states, I’m having issues connecting to undernet. It gets
stuck on the second line aka “connecting to irc.undernet.org…”. I have
tried to connect through weechat and it seems to work through that.

Any ideas on how to get it running through hexchat? I am running
Fedora Linux 35.

1. Verify you’re connecting to the correct port and have the correct
SSL setting (I think undernet doesn’t support SSL)
2. Try one of their other addresses to get a different server rotation
in case it’s just trying to connect to a downed server
3. If you installed hexchat via flatpak or are running it in a
container, verify it actually has network access

Add the second pool address of:
[ix1.undernet.org](https://ix1.undernet.org) to your server list.

Removing SSL did the trick.
