Getting back into IRC and want to find some of my old friends. If
anyone has a list of active servers it would be appreciated.

Almost everything good on freenope has migrated to libera.chat, with a
few things going to oftc.net or other smaller places. If your IRC
interests were served by freenope before, try those now.

Ummm, look  no further than your IRC client.  You'll find all the
major networks plus smaller networks listed in most IRC clients.

[tilde.chat](https://tilde.chat) being

Hit up that Top 100 list that another Redditor provider, that should
get you started, or google irc networks.  That should get you some
hits.

I just use Undernet when I use irc any more, which is mainly to look
for some pdf books, not really chatting.
