IRC technology news from the second half of 2020 reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- buovjaga · 2021-05-30 13:51 Next episode will arrive sooner as I now have this blog of my own. I left the text as it was in Jan 2021, so it probably lies about some commits being unreleased. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- HumanBrainMapper · 2021-05-30 14:59 Thanks, this is a very nice overview! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MatanzaCueto · 2021-05-30 19:30 Thank you! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- wraithnix · 2021-05-30 20:26 Wow, Ərk made the list! It’s nice to see my client seen :-) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- otakugrey · 2021-05-31 06:11 This seems very cool. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- oooogle · 2021-05-31 07:53 A fantastic overview of all recent developments! Thank you for putting this together. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- buovjaga · 2021-05-31 09:32 Have you thought about creating [appimage](https://appimage.org/) release packages for it? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- wraithnix · 2021-05-31 15:07 No, I haven’t, but I will now! I had looked at pyinstaller and other distribution methods, which wouldn’t work for Ərk (the application uses a version of PyQt more recent than the version available in the Debian repos, and other reasons). Appimage, on the other hand, looks pretty great! I’ll give that a try.
