Hi everyone,

I try to setup IRC that will provide following features:

* secure connection via SSL/TLS to the ZNC for IRC client
* save channels history forever as long as limit is not reached,
otherwise start overriding by deleting oldest records
*  save channels history even after the ZNC is restarted so the
continuity is preserved
* skip MOTD, and basic cliche channel info while saving channels
history

Does anyone of you manage or know how to set this up?

Should be straightforward. Buy a VPS and play with some howtos
yourself!

That's what I did. But I fight with ZNC setup entire weekend and its
still not right.

This might not be the answer you're looking for, but have you
considered using a web based IRC client such as
[https://convos.chat/](https://convos.chat/) instead? It supports
SSL/TLS, saves channel history and keeps you online.

Thanks for sharing. Feature set looks interesting, but I want to keep
IRC integrated with Emacs. I already in the middle of the way
(hopefully) to polish things out, just few more glitches left.
Probably securing connection Client - ZNC via SSL/TLS is the most
important thing left. The privacy is big concert no me, so I try to
skip the man in the middle.
