XDCC Transfers Timed Out

Hi,

Client: MiRC

I am trying to troubleshoot why some bot transfers will time out and
others are fine?   The "Timed- out" scenario sees AUTO-GET accept the
XDCC send request, but then times out from there.

I don't think it has to do with a firewall or port forwarding, since
this issue only occurs 10% of the time.

Any insight would be appreciated.

It is usually the bot nothing you can do about it. The bot might be
firewalled

Thanks, was fairly confident the problem was on the other side of
fence.

I solved this by setting up forwarding on my router.

sometimes just trying again later works, they could have bandwidth or
firewall issues its your firewall. Forward the irc ports in your nat
firewall settings on your router, and that should help.
