Recommendations for Infosec/Programming channels? reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2021-01-06 05:24 Hi everyone, I'm looking to get into some infosec/programming communities on IRC. Unlike a lot of the people here, I wasn't born in the 90s, which means I don't have good connections with the IRC community. Most of the infosec communities I join are forums, but I'm looking for something more real-time, and not filled with skids asking "how to hack Instagram accounts". Any recommendations for channels? If you're not comfortable publicly posting it, feel free to drop me a message. Thanks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2021-01-06 10:37 [removed] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- sloppy-svetlana · 2021-01-06 13:09 If you're not looking for anything focused, and can stand a lot of banter, try `#gnulag` on `irc.snoonet.org:6697`. It's a mix of Linux enthusiasts, all kinds of devs, and sysadmins. Requires SSL and NickServ reg, but we're always looking for new users.
