Default port on mirc not working

I'm pretty new to mirc. I want to connect to a server via proxy whose
ports is 6660 but mirc default port is 6667 and after my first ip
doesn't connect and connection automatically retries the port changes
to 6667 and no matter how many times it retries it won't connect
because that port is not for server at all. Is it a bug or what?

It is only happening for a specific server

Maybe the server doesn't allow connections on port 6666?

It says that 6660-6669 allowed. And I set it on 6660 but when
connection retries it automatically sets it to 6667

If you want to change mIRC's default port, you'll find it under
Options - Connect - Options.

Why are you using a proxy? This Isnt 99 get a vpn there’s a ton of
free software
