Hello everyone, I am trying to find active IRC servers/channels. Any
advice? Most are idlers it seems.

There are still a lot of active IRC channels targeted at technical
stuff, like open-source software or network operations

The [XKCD](https://xkcd.com/1782/) IRC channel (#xkcd obviously) on
[Slashnet](http://www.slashnet.org/) is pretty active still.

For some non-technical stuff... you can find yourself a nice home at
/r/CasualConversation's IRC channel on Snoonet! Where you can have
some nice water cooler conversations and hopefully meet some new
friends!

irc.snoonet.org #casualconversation
