Does anyone know how to update the message of the day file and have it
be displayed without having to restart the server (which would kick
all the users off)? I'm using ircd-hybrid as my server.

/Rehash
/rehash motd

Either 'kill - HUP <PID>' on the terminal or on IRC '/rehash motd' may
work.
