"Remote Host Closed the Connection"

I'm new to IRC and I've got a question: when some people disconnect
sometimes the message says "remote hoat closed the connection" but
sometimes it says "connection closed". My question is what's the
difference? I would be glad if you answer me. Thanks in advance.

This gets into implementation details of the client. I guess some
clients dont send an implicit QUIT protocol message if you just exit
the program, they just close the socket

makes sense, would be the same as the ping failing to the server.

As I notice I got downvoted I'll explain.  Telnet to an irc server,
you'll see it's sending messages that say "ping" and you need to send
ones back that say "pong" or you get disconnected.  Your client does
this for you and you don't see it.  That's what I meant.
