Chat logs on Revolution IRC reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MaximumBus · 2020-06-03 12:01 Anybody know how I can view chat logs on Revolution IRC without connecting to the channel in question? Like say I was banned while I was afk and want to view what went on before the ban (like why the fuck I got banned) but because of the ban I cannot open the channel which would be the regular way in Revolution IRC to view logs. I guess a way of rephrasing the question is: where are the chat logs for Revolution IRC stored in the internal memory? What directory so I can go in and view the files? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- figboot_dev · 2020-06-03 12:23 I did some looking around, and I've found a folder with some mysterious .db files. They may be text or sqlite3, haven't tried opening them yet. Assuming you have a device similar to mine, go into the "My Files" app, then Internal Storage/Android/data/io.mrarm.irc/files/chat-logs . That directory contains a folder for each of your networks, named some arbitrary GUID. Inside, you should find your chat logs. May see if I can make sense of the contents of the files when I have access to a computer. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MaximumBus · 2020-06-03 12:25 Thanks man, I'll check it out, report back Edit: Text Editor will open it and It's sort of readable (yes it is the chat logs) but it says there are unsupported/unknown characters. Trying to find a piece of software that will fully display it rn ---------------------------------------------------------------------- KnightHawk3 · 2020-06-03 21:09 a db file is probably able to be opened with sqlite ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Treyzania · 2020-06-04 03:57 Use [this](https://sqlitebrowser.org/). Sqlite dbs are not a human readable format. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- nomerallo · 2023-10-16 10:53 THX mates for this
