I am really thinking that xdcc downloads are a little bit slower
compared to using file hosting...I do kind of notice that xdcc
download sometimes cannot be resumed and just not like a torrent where
xdcc download are depends on one server only...can xdcc download
become more faster?

People are still doing xdcc?  Wow!

Irc dcc transfers have never been outstanding speed wise.

Lot of factors involved, but mostly it’s the speed and ping times from
your ip to the xdcc bots IP.

Then you have the fact not all dcc transfer software is the same.
Some clients did not work well together.

Yeah,i know right...but i do find some good stuff there compare to
some public torrents though..

XDCC is often done on home connections like Comcast or some other isp
provider. Upload will be slower than it would be on file hosting
websites. Torrents are done with pools with a bunch of seeders
together.

XDCC can't really become faster. You can open direct port to your home
pc, but it's dependent on those seeding the file.

XDCC is still used. There are a few irc networks dedicated to it in
fact. I won't say which networks as it may or may not violate the ToS.
You can do a web search on it like 'xdcc file search.' That's all I
will say.
