ZNC problem

I'm running ZNC on a vps. It works perfectly if I log on to the server
everyday, but if I log on only once per week, chat playback doesn't
show me the latest logs instead it shows the chat log from when I last
logged on and a dozen lines of new "live" chat.

My playback buffer is set to 1000.

I'm pretty new to ZNC. Any help is appreciated.

Are rest of your services on the VPS working continuously?
