so I'm trying to use Hexchat (on Mint) to d/l via XDCC. I join the
channel, issue the /MSG command, get queued and ... at some point the
envelope icon flashes and the tooltip tells me I have a private
message.

A private message that I cannot find \*anywhere\*. I have the channel
switched "open new tab on private message" option checked, but - guess
what ? - no tab opens up.

So what am I doing wrong, and how can I get to read this message which
I suspect will explain why I never seem to get my download.
