IRC Bridges to Discord? reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MrBloomy999 · 2020-03-28 22:49 Question are there any vulnerabilities with IRC Bridges to Discord. I'm new to this stuff was curious what you guys have to say. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- damiankw · 2020-03-29 05:11 I wouldn't say so, on the Discord end you're pretty limited to what you can actually do, on the IRC end you can restrict it as much as you want. Who is to say that there isn't a back door in the software you're using though, if you haven't checked it out yourself. It also depends on how the entire thing fits together. If on the IRC end you're just connecting a client, or a cgiirc/webirc client then you won't give them any powers anyway, if you're connecting as a server, then there's potential for issues. All in all, unlikely in my opinion. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ProgVal · 2020-03-29 07:29 As for any software: probably, but the known ones are already patched. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MrBloomy999 · 2020-03-31 04:39 Hey ProgVal, what are the ones that were patched? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ProgVal · 2020-03-31 08:06 I don't know any one specifically ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ntsurertnw · 2020-04-09 05:20 We use pylink's discord relay on our irc.axon.pw server.
