It's going to take a lot to pry irccloud from my hands. I paid the
whole $5/mo and its totally worth every penny. And their Android app
integrates with it and its a fantastic app.

It looks nice and I like how the connection is maintained by a
background process when the GUI is closed. Something that seems to be
missing is a field to specify the username. It also doesn't support
TLS client certificates, which I use whenever available.

I see a nickname field but not a username field; the username seems to
always be “Srain”. I see how to use TLS, but not how to specify a TLS
client certificate for certfp authentication.

My fault, yes username can not specified from UI now, you can do it by
configuration: [http://doc.srain.im/en/stable/config.html#all-
configurable-items](http://doc.srain.im/en/stable/config.html#all-
configurable-items) there is field named "user.username".

This is not supported yet.

If you're talking about the IRC logs they are deleted forever after 60
days if you delete a channel or network.

I don't delete channels or networks, I lurk on the same one for years
and they've been collecting, not only from me but also from all the
others in the channels.

One of the reason I switched to selfhosted znc, also cheaper.
