Hey I don't want to spam the sub-reddit, but do want to promote a text
based game I have made and it is free.

It is basically a pirate themed MMORPG and is played on
[IRC](http://www.irchelp.org/) and is greatly inspired by [Sid Meier's
Pirates!](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sid_Meier%27s_Pirates!)

How is any IRC game MMORPG? Well, I made it where there is cross
network play. Each ship is representative of an IRC network. These
ships affect the [game world](http://beastly.square7.ch/pirates/map/)
by raiding ports, fighting other ships, looting treasure, etc. But all
this is the zoomed out version of the game.

On each ship, players can duel, rob, troll, n' charver each other to
become the Captain. The Captain is basically the richest player on the
ship. The Captain can reward or punish players under his command and
sail the ship to other ports, start parties, be mutinied and much
more.

I have been working on this game for almost 5 years and am
continuously adding more features.

You can idle and still get rewards as there are ship events that occur
and if you are online, you will be rewarded. To truly earn the most
doubloons, you must be an active player.

I am available on Freenode and Rizon. Freenode is not a very active
ship, but the channel is dedicated solely to the game. Rizon is the
most active ship and there are pirates that can help you get started,
but it is a shared channel meaning there are other bots and people
there doing and talking about other things.

I do recommend Rizon though as the game is more fun with other
pirates, but the competition is fierce.
