i got a new laptop and downloaded pycharm on their again. the other
laptop was just fine, but this time around it just doesnt wanna work.
when im in the IDE no code i write matters. no matter what i write the
console always just prints
 the input "Type something: " and if you type something it just prints
what you type... im just tryna learn python here but i can't learn if
i can't even code on Pycharm :( i've uninstalled and redownloaded like
5 times now because of the problems i've had with it earlier today.

IRC is the new IDE for collaborative programming? I dunno. It'd be
better suited to r/learnpython, and even that might be a stretch, for
all I know.

I have no idea how someone would draw that conclusion; we even have a
"What is IRC?" in the sidebar.
