And since it was paid, I read one could move to HexChat ,which is supposed to be free. But even downloading that requires some payment in Windows 10. If you click "Try Demo" (I think that's what it's labelled at least), you can download a fully-functioning copy of HexChat. If I were you, I'd kill the fork and stick with the main branch.
