I have not used IRC in a while and apparently don't know much. Are
there any rooms where people are active and don't mind answering a few
questions about how to use it? Basically know very little at this
point.

Sure, there are. Not like back in the day though. What kinda help u
looking for? I thought undernet had #help. #mirchelp was good too.

U can find some good people at #texans, and also at now rarely active
#mirclife

Very basic stuff, like the most basic probably. I am trying to figure
it out myself but just have a couple questions to get me going. Anyway

One is can some channels not be searched? Really the only one I ever
used you would use @search. On another channel this does nothing. Are
some not searcheable? Or if they all are, what the command? @find does
not work either.
