Twitch compatible IRC clients that log to CSV or database? reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- callmejeremy · 2019-05-08 21:06 Hey guys, I'm trying to find an IRC client that works with twitch that will log to either a tab delimited file or a sql database. Ideally I'd like it to be able to run on linux since eventually it'll live on a server there but Windows works too. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rolontloss · 2019-05-09 01:08 Most IRC client log already. What are you trying to log? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- callmejeremy · 2019-05-09 01:56 I'd like to take a logged line like this: [2019-05-07 13:04:01] <$yummy_yum_yumz> cheer50 what do you do with a drunken sailor? And just add a delimiter between each field, so it'll end up something like [2019-05-07 13:04:01]| <$yummy_yum_yumz> |cheer50 |what |do |you |do |with |a |drunken |sailor? I can always write a plugin when I find a client I like, but wanted to see if something already exists. It seems like it's something that should, doesn't it? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rolontloss · 2019-05-09 01:59 mIRC has a lot of scripting capabilities. What type of UX would you like be sure xchat is also a great one with Perl and python scripting. If you can write the plugin any of these will work.
