I made a small channel, and I noticed that some channels have a
description on them on certain clients. How do I add one to my
channel? Is there a `ChanServ` command for it?

You're probably talking about the channel topic:

`/topic This is your topic text`

if it's on freenode you might need to manually put on your op hat
first:

`/msg chanserv op #channelnamehere`
