Is Textual broken for anyone else? (znc over ssl)

So up until the other day, I was able to use Textual just fine with my
znc setup.  However, yesterday (I guess when it updated), I can't
connect to my znc server.

All I get is "Transport Layer Security (TLS) Error: Connection was
closed as a result of an error (-9806)"

I mean, sure my znc server obviously doesn't have a valid cert, but
textual would always ask me if I still wanted to connect to it.

Has anyone else run into this problem?

Random thought. Is your time correct on your computer and server.
Maybe daylight savings time is screwing with it?

Is the network in question down? I assume you are in your znc server
to get that message? Basically the first question is can you connect
to your server. Is it the network or your server? :)

Yea, I can connect fine with mirc and hexchat, I think this has
something to do with the latest update of Textual :\\(or is it :/ IDK
the emoji for that expression).

I have even reset and reconfigured my ZNC (which is running on a rpi,
btw) and both other clients still work.

I am 99% sure that this has to do with Textual not asking if I want to
accept an invalid certificate (because lol, I am not going to get  a
proper cert for my znc server)

Well, according to [here](https://opensource.apple.com/source/libsecur
ity_ssl/libsecurity_ssl-40581/lib/SecureTransport.h) it just says
"connection closed via error". Tried breaking my znc to replicate but
can't. You can try to go to the settings for that network -> advanced
-> network socket, and uncheck "Validate the certificate chain when
connecting" and see if that helps.

That did it! IDK how you found it, but I was looking around for a
while, thanks!

edit: It used to ask me if I was sure I wanted to connect (and I
wished it still would) but this works for now

Awesome. One thing to note though. You should still definitely focus
on getting a working cert so you can enable that setting again,
because with it disabled you open yourself up to MITM attacks.

Understood and noted but its a hassle, also it's just my IRC bouncer,
and the IP/domain are controlled by me.  I agree with your assesment
though

I'm not using znc but am still getting the same issue...
