I want to get started with IRC, but I don't know how. reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- sidnoway · 2019-03-02 21:41 Can someone more experienced than me help me? I don't know how to find channels that interest me. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2019-03-02 21:56 I run a private server for friends and we chat the day away, but otherwise I've never had luck finding public ones where people actually, you know, talk. Just vast channels stretching into the void of silently lurking handles and join/part notifications. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- frumious · 2019-03-02 22:01 http://irc.netsplit.de/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MountainHumor · 2019-03-02 22:53 I few are posted on this subreddit. I make a post about one I am part of that is fairly new. More information can be found at [https://codex.supersecret.chat/](https:// codex.supersecret.chat/Main_Page#Links) including how to connect and set up IRC. We have a few active people but obviously we have lives and can't be on all the time. Feel free to stop by and say hello though. :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- paffeu · 2019-03-03 10:45 Not op but definitely I am going to check this one out. To OP: Check out rizon and freenode if you are interested in linux anime, programming or all of them :) Those have got a decent guides for new users :) enjoy ---------------------------------------------------------------------- pwater99 · 2019-03-05 01:20 You could do what some people do and "/list" in your main connection window. Be patient. It will list all publicly available channels on the server, I believe. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- lazyfingersy · 2019-03-31 20:21 Use command **/list** and you'll see the list of channels, that should help you find something for you.
