I cannot connect to criten server, i cannot even access their official
website? However I can connect to Abjects server. Similarly when i use
a VPN i can connect to the criten. Without VPN it gives me following
error.

 * Connecting to irc.criten.net (6667)
-
* Unable to connect to server (Connection timed out)
-
* Connect retry #1 irc.criten.net (6667) (dns pool)
-
* Unable to connect to server (Connection timed out)
-
* Connect retry #2 irc.criten.net (6667) (dns pool)

Can some one suggest a solution? I am currently residing in China

is it criten or citen? You have a typo somewhere, and I think it's in
your server name field.

updated the post. it definitely was a typo. It was just one of the
many servers/addresses i was trying.

if you can't access their website or their irc server, something is
wrong on their end and not yours. wait it out and try again later.
could be a dns issue or they may even be suffering a ddos attack.

Perhaps try an external SOCKS proxy (google for free ones) or ZNC
bouncer and see if you can connect this way.
