Non-Window IRC clients that do DCC?

Hi. I'm new to IRC and trying to figure it out. I have a chromebook
and want to download things using IRC, but MIRC requires Windows, and
all the Chrome IRC apps don't do DCC. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm not familiar with Ubuntu, but I know
it's an operating system. I would rather just have an independent IRC
client instead of running my laptop on a new operating system.

If you can get the new linux sandbox going then you should be able to
pull down normal linux IRC client from repo. Haven't tried this yet
though.

Please don't use X-Chat. Its extremely outdated and vulnerable. Also
pretty soon it won't be able to connect securely to many IRC servers
as it can only use SSLv3 and this protocol is disabled in both
InspIRCd 3 and UnrealIRCd 4.

Termux + WeeChat is usually best for serious IRC'ers on Android or
ChromeOS. It will take some configuration at first but it's well worth
the effort even for a beginner and at least on Android it has
touchscreen/mouse enabled to give you the GUI feel.
