I can not receive and send private messages in Hexchat reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Bauerzipfel · 2018-09-07 18:26 hello, I have hexchat installed and I can normally write in Twitch Chat but not receive and send private messages. Does anyone know the problem ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- yunocchi · 2018-09-07 18:31 I do not believe Twitch's IRC supports user-to-user messaging (i.e. PRIVMSG ) See: https://discuss.dev.twitch.tv/t/private-messages/11166 It appears that they are also planning to remove the whispering function from IRC at some point. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Bauerzipfel · 2018-09-07 18:42 with the software mIRC and KVIRC the problem is there too? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- zerosouls · 2018-09-07 20:37 If what the above user said is true then it would server side, so it wouldn't matter which client is used.
