Suddenly unable to post to several freenode channels?

Like a week or so ago, I became unable to post on #hurd and #guix. I
get "cannot send to channel". I see activity on #guix and I am able to
post on #ceph. What could be causing this?

Those channels appear to be set to +m (moderated) mode...meaning you
need voice status (+v) or greater to send messages to the channel.

This sometimes happens when rooms get hit by spambots etc. and the
administrators want to control it.

There's also `+q $~a` which quiets non-registered users. It's pretty
effective against the current wave of spam
