Setting a password in circ

I'm trying to use circ to connect to the irc server for a website I
have an account with. In order to use their server my nickname has to
be the same as my account name and my password has to be set to the
same password I use for the website.  I can't figure out how to set my
password in circ. It's a chrome extension irc.

I typed /PASS then my password, but it didn't seem to work and I'm not
sure what I'm doing wrong.

Haven't used circ for sometime, just tried it and was able to connect
even to the freenode.  Might want to try and set the port to 7000 when
using ssl.  Try Byrd, I know it can be a pain to set it up, but works.
Are you using it on a computer or chromebook?
