Need help writing an autoreply script on Textual IRC

Textual can use AppleScript, Python, Ruby, and other languages but I
prefer to use either AppleScript or Python. I have -5 programming
knowledge.

I want the script to run like so:

If a user says "Hello ReallyForeverAlone" I want the script to
automatically reply "Hello [user]" without me having to type anything.
How would I write such a script?

I did, no one replied. I even lurked after asking the question for 6
hours.

if the people in the channel are asleep (in different timezones), 6
hours may not be enough! On the other hand, if the people in the
channel aren't active, that might be the issue too.
