Please help! Android IRC client with DCC?

Hi, sorry if this has been answered before.
I have tried several IRC Clients for android. I have a public IP from
my mobile provider (three), I've tested this by running several
different servers from my handset (web, dlna, etc).
The problem I have is that when I am using, for instance, #ebooks over
at irchighway, I am able to receive my search file (.txt), but am
unable to receive any other files.
This happens whether I am using my home broadband or mobile data.
Has anyone had this problem and possibly solved it?

I'd be happy with a DCC java library too, then I can maybe put
something together to work as an xdcc downloader app.

I'm having this problem too. For me, it's working on my tablet, with
AndroIRC, but not working on my phone. Have verified all settings are
the same.

Did you manage to work this out?

I had to change the setting in androirc so that it saves to the SD
card. Your files will be stored in
extsd/android/data/com.countercultured.irc4android (in the case of
AndroIRC).

I've not had any problems downloading since.

That sounds great, but I can't for the life of me find a setting in
AndroIRC to do that?!

It'll be in the settings under client behaviour. Its the DCC setting
for saving to external SD.

You also need to be logged into a server first

Did you ever find this settings?  I can't get DCC to work with any
Android client I've tried.  I swear it used to work on AndroIRC a few
months ago...
