How would I create my own irc channel?

Just join the channel and if it doesn't exist yet it'll create it and
you'll join as the owner

When you've joined a channel that's unpopulated you can register it
with the following:

`/msg ChanServ REGISTER #channelname`

It's worth pointing out as well that if you're registering a channel
for your subreddit on Snoonet and the channel name for your sub is
already taken, you should ask in `#help` for assistance with claiming
the channel. You must be a subreddit moderator however.

/j channelname.   After you join the channel, you'll find out if it's
empty or if it's in use. If you're the only one in it - congrats!
