TIL the company behind mIRC is worth £1.3million reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2017-06-30 10:04 [deleted] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Saber_UK · 2017-06-30 11:09 Hah, £1.3 million? I'm worth.... oh wait I don't get paid for this. >_> About -£2000 probably tbh. 😂 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- svn · 2017-06-30 14:03 Mr Khaled Mardam-Bey made all of his fortune by having a nose that sounds that a rubber duck when you squeeze it ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ExBritNStuff · 2017-06-30 22:06 I have two reactions to this. First, it's amazing that he/the company can be worth over a million pounds based on an application that I don't know anyone who has paid for. Second, kind of sucks that the creator of one of the most seminal applications in Internet history is only worth a million point three. If only he'd focused on web and not IRC, maybe he'd be the UK Marc Andreessen. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tobsn · 2017-06-30 22:46 I paid for it... some 20 years ago. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ExBritNStuff · 2017-06-30 23:06 I feel I should pay for it now, too. I mean I don't use it, and haven't had a Windows machine for a good few years. But I did use it a lot in the late 90's, and got way more than $20-worth of use out of the shareware version.
