Hexchat (Windows): any scripts that can filter/hide messages with certain keywords? reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- machstem · 2017-06-15 01:46 Are there any scripts that allow you to mask/remove IRC messages based on a name filter? (e.g. hide any comment with the word *unicorn*) Any ideas or help guiding me would be appreciated. Thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2017-07-01 09:59 [deleted] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mroik · 2017-07-01 10:09 Try this https://pastebin.com/5R5nu2Ap ---------------------------------------------------------------------- machstem · 2017-07-17 13:32 Hey, Thanks for your reply back then and I was able to load the script although I did have to fix line 16 (added double quotes after 'print') That being said; how do I use this!? :) The script shows up as loaded and all my pre-reqs are met (e.g. python installed) Thanks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- machstem · 2017-07-17 14:47 OK, I figured it out (saw the FADD command) Do you have any way of finding these filtered words, and is it possible to write one to remove it or can I do it manually? For example, if I accidentally told it to filter 'foo', how can I go and see that word listed and/or remove it. Thanks again! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- RoseKamynsky · 2023-09-27 20:45 I know it's been 6 years, but maybe you could provide the correct code?
