Im so confused reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- flash011 · 2016-12-07 01:05 im trying to get into this because it looks fun but what IRC client should i use and how do i connect to things i tried AdiIRC but i just cant figure it out is there a tutorial somewhere? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Giraffestock · 2016-12-07 02:21 There's tons of tutorials and clients - some more information would help. Do you want a web client? What OS are you on? Is your computer on 24/7? How important are logs/plugins/themes to you? etc. https://www.quora.com/How-do-I-get-started-with-IRC is a good resource ---------------------------------------------------------------------- GrandmaYogapants · 2016-12-07 04:07 Try mIRC ---------------------------------------------------------------------- XavierNite · 2016-12-07 12:37 [Quassel](http://quassel-irc.org/downloads) is a good client. You can use it in 1 of two ways, as a client connecting to a core, or stand alone. I recommend the stand alone version. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- flash011 · 2016-12-07 13:18 Ok thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- flash011 · 2016-12-07 13:19 Thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- flash011 · 2016-12-07 13:19 Thanks a lot ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2016-12-07 13:51 Haven't tried mIRC in a long time. Is it still nagware? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2016-12-07 17:27 [deleted] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- formode · 2016-12-07 21:42 For ease of entry I'd say hop on using http://kiwiirc.com/ :) Once you're used to IRC and have dedicated channels etc you might want to look into a client such as Textual, irccloud, or weechat
