Are there any fun, interesting and active channels out there? reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ThatReallyFlyKid · 2016-09-29 01:47 Usually, I use an HTTP chat, but it's been slowly going downhil, because a few new members joined and are far too dramatic for many of the other members, including me. There is no real topic, but we usually talk about coding, typically HTML/PHP/CSS, sh/python, C/C++/Java. We were all like-minded people, we usually talked about things we'd never speak of in real life, and admitted personal things about ourselves, like our fetishes. It was fun while it lasted, but I'd like to know if there are any IRC channels like this out there that are actually still around. Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- derpherp128 · 2016-09-29 01:48 No. jk, try smaller irc networks (not irc channels); they usually have a more tight-knit group. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- fumyl- · 2016-09-29 01:49 #spicy is really coming into its own ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Saber_UK · 2016-09-29 01:56 Freenode has a lot of programming channels although some of them are quite cliquey. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ThatReallyFlyKid · 2016-09-29 05:07 Sorry? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ThatReallyFlyKid · 2016-09-29 05:07 Thanks. Any networks you'd recommend? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- fumyl- · 2016-09-29 05:20 #spicy ---------------------------------------------------------------------- iamanalterror · 2016-09-29 12:40 Rizon: Full of 4channers. - Start by joining #chat Snoonet: Full of Redditors. - Start by joining #casualconversation Jump in on the running conversation or conversations. /whois people you talk to once you've gotten acquainted with them, to find new channels. You can also search up on Mibbit. If you've discussed your fetishes with randoms on the internet, I think you'd be geared more towards Rizon. I've given you all you need. Prepare to spend countless hours wasting away on IRC. Enjoy. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 24cal · 2016-09-29 20:24 irc.crushandrun.net #cornerpocket ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rrriot · 2016-09-30 16:26 I second Freenode. Also, since OP is interested in coding, tons of foss projects use them to host their chatrooms. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ThatReallyFlyKid · 2016-10-04 21:25 Thanks. I don't think Rizon is for me, I don't like 4chan at all. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- iamanalterror · 2016-10-09 02:50 Rizon is more than 4chan. It just happens to have some 4chan people on it. I'd recommend checking it out, as there are some really smart people on there. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 74NK-LV · 2016-10-19 10:31 # #anonops on Anonops 10/10 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2016-11-12 18:57 [removed] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2016-11-12 20:33 [removed] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- physcobat · 2016-11-12 20:43 apex.animal-industries.xyz #lolwut irc.seriocomicrhetoric.com #retrobox Both have excellent communities. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- asherz94763 · 2016-11-24 22:12 apex.animal-industries.xyz - that would be mine. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Netralou · 2016-11-26 09:20 I third Freenode : it definitely matches your topics. http://irc.lc/freenode/html http://irc.lc/freenode/php http://irc.lc/freenode/css http://irc.lc/freenode/sh http://irc.lc/freenode/python etc ..
