I just left a few of my IRCs I used to frequent because I got sick of
cronyism with the ops, allowing acerbic people who talk shit but
somehow people with controversial opinions is not allowed.

Any recs?

try a [gaming search](https://beta.irc-source.com/channels?q=gaming&by
name=false&bytopic=false&bynetwork=false) or a [tech
search](https://beta.irc-source.com/channels?q=tech&byname=true&bytopi
c=true&bynetwork=true&p=2)

while not always tech oriented retronet and animal industries are some
good small nets with a pretty tight knit community. Join us at either:

apex.animal-industries.xyz 6667 or 6697

irc.compgeke.com 6667 or 6697

(and yes, they are tech oriented a fair bit)
