Every time i join a channel, people are always idle. Any suggestions
on IRCs which are pretty active?

I guess that depends on what you want and where you want it.

- [freenode](irc://irc.freenode.net/) has a lot of active channels, if
you're into any kind of coding.
- [AustNET](irc://irc.austnet.org/) has #Melbourne / #Sydney which are
still pretty active
- [Abjects](irc://irc.abjects.net/) has #mg-lounge which is really
good for chatting up a storm about movies / television.

# snoonet is pretty active

Some of the subreddits have their irc channels try,
casualconversations

One that I always find active is the one for TWIT TV @ irc.twit.tv in
the #twitlive channel.

OP, do yourself a favor and just flat out avoid austnet. It's cancer,
the whole lot of it.
