[Help post] Send SMS to irc chat

I'm trying to build an html dashboard for my household that gives us
info for the day. I've been able to build a page with an embeded
google map, calendar, and weather widget. What I want to add is a
grocery list that we can send a text or email and it will update its
list. I've found several guides showing how to take an IRC message and
send and SMS. Does anybody have direction on how to send an sms and
have it update in the irc? Or are there any better suggestions for an
updateable list that would work like that?

To the best of my knowledge, you can get a
[twilio](https://www.twilio.com/) number, write a bot using their api
and use that bot as a bridge to irc to do whatever it is you want.

Any idea how to make the bot or a program that can actually parse
that?

You'll have to pick a language and program it yourself, unless there's
already something that does that on github, which I doubt.

One option would be to use purple-hangouts with bitlbee, like I do.
