Need an auto voicer reddit / irc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Innsomnimaniac · 2016-08-22 00:19 Basically, I want to hold contests, where the whole room is moderated, and the script would randomly pick someone to voice to answer a trivia question to with a prize. I've seen them used before, but I can't find one anywehre. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- k0zmo · 2016-08-22 01:31 I googled "IRC TTS", i found something, i think [this is](http://www.jibble.org/speechbot/) what you were looking for. Also, TTS stands for Text-To-Speech. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- evilyou · 2016-08-22 07:21 Do you already have a bot you're using to run the trivia game? Implementing a random voice feature seems like it should be fairly straight forward. You might need to assign each user a number on join and have the bot pick a number or something but it shouldn't be terribly difficult. If you can be a little more specific someone might be able to help. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- j4jackj · 2016-08-26 01:48 Not that kind of voice ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Innsomnimaniac · 2016-10-25 03:28 Not voice as in audible, dummy.. I mean voice as in voicing someone in a moderated channel and that person can type. Without voice, nobody can type into an IRC channel that is moderated. Do you even IRC? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Innsomnimaniac · 2016-10-25 03:30 That could work. I may tinker with some scripting to see what I can come up with. I just wonder if I should use an INI file, or variables for the numbers though. Variables may be harder, because it could lag the bot. So, INI may be better. Or, I could a txt file. I have written several scripts using INIs and TXTs.. so, maybe I'll look back through them and something may click that'll help. Thanks for the idea.
