Anyone using BitchX on Windows 10? I can't get it to run.

I've got all the required .dll files but now I'm getting a general and
unhelpful error explaining that it just won't run. Boo :(

Also, I'm aware of the dozens of other clients I can use instead of
BitchX. Thanks!

I would run it under Cygwin.

yeah, I tried that too but with no luck. Starting to think it's just
not supported on Win10.

With the Windows 10 anniversary update, I was able to compile and run
it under the Windows/Ubuntu bash shell without any problems.

EDIT: Then again, looks like ncurses isn't working quite right in this
environment...

EDIT2: Using:

    export TERM=xterm-256color

Or maybe just exiting and restarting bash after installing everything
I needed to get BitchX to compile solved my problems and it works fine
now.

Thank you so much for solving this for me. I wound up putting the bash
shell on my machine and doing it through there. Presto!

How did you guys get BitchX to install on the bash via windows? It's
