Is there a client, or client+plugin that will send pings to mobile
device?

I'd like any pings on a channel to be send to my phone since I can't
login to a particular irc server more than once (only one userid.)  I
started looking at hexchat; seems like I could create something with
that but wanted to see if anything was available off the shelf.

I use [irssi-notifier](https://irssinotifier.appspot.com/) with
weechat (it also, obviously, works with irssi). Works great if you
like a CLI client.

I keep my Android IRC client connected to an ZNC instance sometimes to
get notified on pings. Bouncers generally help if you don't want to
login to the IRC server multiple times but still chat on more than one
device.

If you look into this, you an also give [ZNC
Push](https://github.com/jreese/znc-push) a go, which is basically a
plugin for znc that allows you to get notifications through numerous
other notification services. I personally use pushbullet, but there
are quite a few options.

It just means you don't need an irc client running on your phone all
the time.
